Energy Freedom Team ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Clean Energy Friends and SRP Canvass mobile applications. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

Device Information: We collect a unique device identifier to provide app functionality and track your outreach progress.

Contact Data (Optional): If you choose to sync your contacts, we process phone numbers to match you with voters you know. Here's how it works:

• Phone numbers from your contacts are converted to secure one-way hashes (SHA-256) on your device
• Only these hashes are sent to our server - never actual phone numbers or contact names
• We compare these hashes against hashed phone numbers in our voter database
• Matching is done server-side; your contact details never leave your device

Optional Profile Information: You may provide your first name to personalize message templates. This is stored locally and optionally synced.

Outreach Activity: We record when you contact voters (calls/texts made, results logged) to track campaign progress.

How We Use Your Information

• To identify which voters in our database you already know personally
• To track your outreach activity and campaign progress
• To personalize text message templates with your name
• To improve our apps and campaign effectiveness

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share aggregated, non-identifying statistics about campaign outreach with campaign staff and supporters.

Voter Database

Our voter database contains publicly available voter registration information for Salt River Project (SRP) elections, including names, addresses, and phone numbers where available. This information is obtained from official SRP voter rolls.

Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information, including:

• One-way hashing of phone numbers (irreversible)
• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure cloud infrastructure (Supabase)
• Row-level security policies on our database

Your Rights

You can:

• Use the app without syncing contacts (limited functionality)
• Request deletion of your data by contacting us
• Revoke contact access in your device settings at any time

Children's Privacy

Our apps are not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
